Talking to a new artist about further commissions. Looking forward to showing you a hint of his work soon if the talks go well. I suspect they will?
Writing up some encounter tables. Two twelve-item columns, randomly combined, make for 144 possible encounters? Not bad. Tables for generating Aberrant Beasts are done. Still need to do tables for the Prisoners of Skin.
Reading Everest Pipkin's World Ending Game. There's at least one mechanic in there that I want to borrow.
I have a sample scenario in the works but I'm not sure it's the best starting scenario: it puts the PCs in an environment where they're cut off from communication and can't easily access extended resources. That's good for a play scenario but maybe not the best for the first one? I feel like the first one should be more "open world"—like the PCs should be able to "win" it using any combination of starting skills. A character who puts a lot of points into "Consult the Catalog" or "Arm of the Law" and then can't use it right out of the gate may be likely to feel frustrated. So I'm designing a more flexible one. The other one will be published separately or perhaps included in the core book as a stretch goal.
That's all for now
